It’s back! Tarte Cosmetics and Latina beauty content creator Angelica Torres, also known as CandyLover89, have relaunched their beauty bundles to celebrate our communities.
Last Fall, the brand and creator launched the “La Jefa” bundle, and this year, they’re doubling down with two exclusive bundles, “@candylover89 X tarte™ dulce” and “@candylover89 X tarte™ amor”. Like last year, Tarte has committed to donating 100% of the net proceeds from this collaboration to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.
Remezcla caught up with CandyLover89 at the bundle launch party in Los Angeles, where she expressed her gratitude for her partnership with Tarte to be giving back to the Latine community.
“It feels amazing. The fact that I am back with another collab – and I get to give back to my community,” she expressed. “I do not make any money from the collab you guys. It 100% goes to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.”
The Latina beauty creator, who has over 1.7 million followers, started her entrepreneurship young by selling accessories at local swap meets. Fast-forward to now, and she’s built an empire selling a number of fashion items, including wigs, shoes, jewelry, and her signature accessories.
“To the young Candy that started out at the swap meets, I would tell her to keep believing in yourself,” she said at her launch party in Los Angeles. She also expressed how the partnership with Tarte last year raised enough funds to support around a dozen Latine students through college.
She shared, “As someone who didn’t get to go to college because I couldn’t afford it, it means the world that I get to pay it forward now.”
