On Wednesday, Barack Obama danced the tango at an official state dinner in Argentina. After watching two professional dancers tango at the Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, a female dancer walked over to Obama and invited him to dance. For almost 10 full seconds, Obama rejected the offer, but eventually, he knew he had no other option but to dance.
And just like that Obama got a slightly better understanding of the Latino/Latin American experience – it’s literally impossible to weasel your way out of dancing at any family gathering.
