Get ready America, Bomba Estéreo is coming your way. The Colombian cumbieros have announced their upcoming U.S. tour kicking off June 12th at Bonnaroo and bowing September 6th at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival. In between they’ll take a break from the U.S., but not from touring. They’ll head to Europe for a month-long stint and then hop back over the Atlantic to resume U.S. dates.

The nine-set, eight-city tour trails the band’s recent conquest, beating out other buzz bands (Surfer Blood, Matías Aguayo, The Very Best, and Sleigh Bells) for MTV Iggy’s “Best New Band in the World” title. ¡Eso es!

The band’s first stop on the tour will see them play the same stage (Latino Alternativo Tent) as fellow Remezcla faves Ozomatli, Aterciopelados, Los Amigos Invisibles, y Mexican Institute of Sound. Check in Bonnaroo week for some Bonnarific Remezcla coverage!

See below for detailed tour dates and also check out Bomba Estéreo killing it at South by Southwest, performing “Fuego” from their album Blow Up.
