While on Huff Post Live, Dascha Polanco finally spoke out about the assault accusations that were made public when she had to go to court on her birthday, December 3. A fan asked Polanco if she thought the accusation would impact the new season of Orange is the New Black, and Polanco quickly replied with “no, no they won’t.”
She elaborated by saying that the accusation is just an attempt to get to her – something that her lawyer also said. “Listen, I lost the biggest part of me, [which] was my mother,” she said. “No one’s going to knock me down. It takes more than that.”
Polanco ended by saying that she is not worried about what’s going to happen next. She is due in court in January 2016.
