Who: Instagram has done wonders to unite photography lovers and bring attention to talented, creative people from all over the world. Last week, Instagram announced the launch of their account, InstagramES, which would celebrate Spanish speaking peoples and members of Spanish speaking communities. Mike Krieger, co-founder of Instagram, himself is Brazilian and wrote in their first post that “Spanish is the second most spoken language on Instagram and has been present since the beginning of the app.”
Why You Should Follow Them: It is a beautiful thing to see such a massive global platform pay special attention to the richness and beauty of the Spanish language and the people who speak it all over the world. The account only started last week and has over 11k followers! The entire feed will be in Spanish, naturally, and you will be able to check out new photographers, writers, artists every week.
