The average person might still struggle to purchase Hamilton tickets. But Meghan Markle – Duchess of Sussex, suits, and messy buns – has seen the iconic play three times. Today, she and Prince Harry joined Lin-Manuel Miranda and wife Vanessa Nadal for a Hamilton gala in London.

Markle’s apparently one of Hamilton‘s biggest fans and has supported the Broadway musical since her Suits days. She first attended a performance with longtime friend Priyanka Chopra before she and Harry became engaged. The two posed outside the theater like total tourists after they enjoyed a performance of the Tony Award-winning play. Then, Markle saw Hamilton a second time with Prince Harry in February 2018. That time, she attended a performance at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, which makes sense because it was a brand new-to-her cast, and because watching the retelling of the United States’ history in the UK was probably quite an experience.

Today marks her third Hamilton visit, but it’s her first time watching the show as a member of the royal family and Princes’ Foundation for Children in Africa. Tonight’s performance is a special charity gala for Sentebale, one of Harry’s longtime charities, with tickets ranging from $25 to $130, plus a donation. Sentebale works with children and young people with HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana.

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived, Lin-Manuel Miranda – who’s living in Wales to film the BBC adaptation of His Dark Materials  – greeted the couple. Markle wore a black tuxedo dress with matching pumps, while Harry, well, wore a suit, too.  The trio are set to speak on stage during the performance. While it may seem surprising that Harry and Meghan are such huge fans of Hamilton, it makes total sense a descendant of King George III and an US duchess would relate to the retelling of United States’ history.

I’m guessing Markle knows the whole soundtrack by now, and I’m only sad that we’ll never get to witness her singing along to “My Shot.”
