Update, January 8 at 1:33 p.m.: According to Enrique Peña Nieto’s Twitter account, El Chapo has been caught.

Though Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s escape from a maximum-security prison in Mexico has been highly covered by now, there’s still so many parts of the story that don’t add up. Today, journalist Carlos Loret de Mola released a video with audio that reveals how the guards reacted when they went into El Chapo’s cell long after he had already made his way through a well-ventilated tunnel.

The video starts with El Chapo’s escape, and it shows that those watching the security footage were not acting with any sense of urgency. In the video, it appears that they sat around and didn’t send any guards to the cell until 25 minutes later. By that point, the guard was met by a big empty hole in the cell, according to El Universal.

It wasn’t until 40 minutes later that two people are seen entering his cell.
