Colombian-born artist Federico Uribe is known for using everyday items to create stunning, thought-provoking 3D art. For his latest exhibit, Uribe has taken on a subject that is more important than ever: gun violence. With the recent shooting at a Oregon school and the death of an Oakland artist, gun control has once again taken center stage in the United States.

In an article on Bored Panda, Uribe said that for his new series We’re at Peace, he turned “1000s of bullet shells into animal trophies without killing a single soul.” The exhibit featured freestanding pieces, as well as bas-relief paintings.
