The Latinternet was set ablaze after it was reported that Yolanda Saldívar, the woman who killed beloved Tejana queen Selena, had died. The rumor turned out to be false, but Saldívar continued to be a trending topic in several Latin American countries. Yesterday, TV Notas released an interview with Selena’s older brother, A.B. Quintanilla, claiming that he had already forgiven Saldívar. “Look, I’ve already forgiven her, but I haven’t forgotten what she did,” he reportedly said. “I don’t worry about her. I do feel bad about everything that’s happening. It’s my understanding that she’s not doing well, and she’s in a delicate state because of her kidneys.”

A.B. added that he would like to visit her in prison, but that he’s not allowed to see her. A.B. himself has not made any reference to the interview on his social media accounts, so we don’t know how legit it is. However, the parts that focus on Selena’s legacy and how he thinks of that morning every day sound more like what we’d expect to hear from him.
