Here’s How You Can Win Tickets to ‘Hamilton’ and a Chance to Hang With Lin-Manuel Miranda

Since rumors broke out last week that Lin-Manuel Miranda is expected to leave his hit Broadway show ‘Hamilton’ after the July 9th performance, the thirst for tickets has gotten even higher – something we didn’t think was humanly possible. According to CNN Money, the starting price for tickets on StubHub jumped up to $1,592, and they range up to $9,975 for a second row seat in the orchestra. ?

If you don’t have ten stacks to drop on a ticket or hours to spend outside the TKTS booth, it may seem futile to even try to see the show at this point – but there’s a ray of hope. You could still score two of best seats in the house, AND a chance to meet the man of the hour himself.  All you have to do is donate to the Hispanic Federation, a non-profit dedicated to uplifting millions of Latino children, youth and families. Lin explains, “Here’s how it works…if you donate $10 to HF, that gets you 100 entries to win the trip. 100! And every extra dollar is an extra 10 entries. Simple. So if you donate more, you get more chances.” Not to mention the prize includes airfare and hotel for those who aren’t already in NYC.

As the hype around the show has gotten so extreme that it’s become inaccessible to many would-be audience members – especially those who’d benefit from seeing themselves reflected in a cast of black and brown actors – it’s nice to see Miranda using the buzz to help push positive change. “We’re […] doing this to help support Hispanic Federation,” he explains.  “The work they’re doing for children and families around the country is absolutely vital and I’d be so grateful if you could team up with me on this.”

There are still 18 days left to support the cause and get your chance to win. Head over to Prizeo to learn more.
