Who: Colectiva Cósmica is a feminist art collective primarily made up of Latinas based in New York, Texas and everywhere in between. Cósmica and its members, including previously profiled multimedia artist Itzel Alejandra Martinez and Barbara Calderón-Douglass, have an inspiring mission statement meant to grow an art movement in their own space. And for the ladies out there, Cósmica says, “We believe women are magical in complex ways and seek to unveil our long-obscured powers.” *crystal ball/prayer hands emoji*

Why You Should Follow:  For your daily dose of empowerment and a way to discover a new favorite artist, which I certainly have. Whether you are a Latina or not, Colectiva Cósmica mission to give a platform for artists and creatives that have been widely under-represented is for everyone. They post a collection of many expressions– from paintings, collages to poetry– and have a little something for everyones tastes, as beautifully complex and diverse as they may be. Plus, their #SelenaSundaze never fails, and wherever La Reina is, I will be.
