Icy coolers of cerveza Estrella Jalisco, heaps of carne asada on the grill, and a sea of green jerseys: this is what you’re likely to find at a Los Angeles tailgate for the Mexico National Team. After all, LA has the largest Mexican & Mexican-American population in the country – so you’re all but guaranteed to find El Tri fans in droves.

We hit up a recent tailgate with Armando De La Torre Jr., co-founder of beloved taco spot Guisados, where he scoped out the pre-game eats and got a little inspiration to create his own tailgate dish. Check out the video above for some mouthwatering dish ideas.
