In the Studio With Artist Teddy Kelly

Artist and illustrator Teddy Kelly grew up in Mazatlan, Mexico, but his mishmash of skateboard, surf, and immigrant culture is right at home in his adopted California. He’s done everything from solo exhibitions to graphic work for Coachella to collaborations with clothing lines and artists like the Odd Future collective, Chris Brown and Los Angeles Azules.

Most recently, he was tapped by Concā, the world’s first vodka Panamericano, to develop a limited release of prints and curate a special, intimate night of art in LA. We caught up with him in his studio to talk about his creative process, his influences, and see how the work gets done.
