The festival circuit in Latin America has grown dramatically in the last few years. Vive Latino, Lollapalooza, even Sónar’s newly announced expansion… but the most exciting part is to see local festivals spring up and proudly define and represent their local musical communities.

This past weekend was the sixth edition of All My Friends Festival, founded by Tijuana-native Argenis García. What literally started as a house party for Argenis and all of his friends (cue LCD Soundsystem), has now become one of the most authentic festivals in northwest Mexico.

Maybe it’s the killer view of the Pacific shoreline, or the array of local food trucks and the amazing line-up fully representing the bicultural musical scene in Tijuana. Or maybe it’s the vibe that feels like, well, all your friends.
