The American Dream Turns Into a Cuban Nightmare in this Short Horror Film

It’s Halloween, and we’ve got precious few Latino horror films to choose from. That’s why Sea Devil is giving me life right now. Directed and written by Dean C. Marcial and Brett Potter, Sea Devil tells the story of how a pair of Cuban refugees’ escape to Miami goes very very very very very very wrong. So wrong. Christ. Sea Devil was an official selection of the NYC Horror Film Festival 2014, and it earns it with every tense, quiet moment.

It’s less than ten minutes long so give it a watch, and prep for your weekend of Halloween carousing with a little soul-killing dread and eldritch horror.
