(winner, Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series) and Fred Armisen, who were the only Latinos nominated. There was one other Latino winner; when the cast of Modern Family won best comedy series, Sofia Vergara collected a statuette. But when she was asked to introduce Bruce Rosenblum, chairman of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, she was essentially turned into a prop. Vergara has already spoken out against critics; she told sources at Entertainment Weekly that she didn’t feel demeaned by the antics on stage saying, “I think its absolutely the opposite. It means that somebody can be hot and also be funny and make fun of herself.”

Y ustedes, que creen? How did you feel about Sofia and the pedestal?
