As we anxiously await June 17 – the way-too-far-away premiere date of Orange is the New Black‘s fourth season – Netflix brings us some good news: OITNB has been renewed through season seven. In a press release, Netflix revealed that the show’s creator Jenji Kohan will remain attached to the project for the three new seasons.

“Three more years!  Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things. In some cultures, ‘May you lead an interesting life,’ is a curse, but I don’t live in those cultures,” Kohan said. “Here’s to keeping it interesting… And kudos and gratitude to the stellar cast and crew and writers and producers and editors and musicians and mixers and shleppers… with whom I have the pride and honor of crafting this show.  Three more years!  Three more years!”

Tbh, we’re just hoping three more seasons means a lot more Flaritza, because we’re already expecting the show to continue highlighting its diverse cast of characters.
