Ralph Barbosa is about to show off his hosting skills. On April 10, Deadline revealed that the popular comedian is set to host Introducing…, a showcase highlighting emerging comics, at the Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles, CA, on May 1. The showcase is part of the highly-anticipated Netflix is a Joke Fest, which will take place from May 1 to May 12 in Los Angeles, CA.

Latine rising comics that will participate in this show include the Dominican-American stand-up comedian Glorelys Mora, and Mexican-American comedian René Vaca. Other talents include Ashima Franklin, Alec Flynn, Dylan Carlino, Kel Cripe, and MANDAL. Ryan Goodcase and Sureni Weerasekera are also participating in the event.

The recently unveiled event is the beginning of the upcoming Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which features more than 400 artists and more than 500 stand-up shows in over 35 venues across 12 days in Los Angeles. Produced by Netflix and Live Nation, it’s self-described as: “Comedy for days with our finest people and funniest shows in the coolest places.”

Along with Barbosa, Mora, and Vaca, other Latines participating this year include Gabriel Iglesias, Fred Armisen, Carlos Ballarta, Tom Segura, and Lorena Russi. Other non-Latine comedy figureheads that are performing include Seth Rogan, Ali Wong, and Katt Williams – and that’s just scratching the surface.

Tickets for Introducing…, can be found here (7:00 p.m. slot), and here (9:30 p.m. slot). For those who can’t make it, the sets will stream on Netflix is a Joke’s YouTube channel and social media platforms. For more information regarding Netflix is a Joke, visit its official website.

After Netflix is A Joke Fest, Ralph Barbosa is continuing his Super Cool Ass Tour in Bakersfield, CA (May 4), Las Vegas, NV (May 5), Houston, TX (May 10-11), and Phoenix, AZ (May 17).
