Not content with just being reggaeton’s prince charming, Ozuna will be deploying his signature charm next on the big screen. The Puerto Rican-Dominican pop star is one half of the rom-com Que Leónwhich was shot in the Dominican Republic. The other half? Former Miss Dominican Republic Clarissa Molina. The two play young lovers who find their different backgrounds getting in the way of their relationship.

Nicole and Jose Miguel come from very different León families. Hers is wealthy and well-to-do. His is more humble and less well-off. And it’s all been going just fine until Nicole’s father becomes intent on breaking them apart, going so far as recruiting Jose Miguel’s own father (whom he can’t stand, really) to bring in their kids’ exes to drum up a break-up. The sunny honey-colored cinematography, which showcases the colorful vistas of the DR, is the backdrop to this star-crossed lovers story that plays like a big-screen telenovela.

And, if the “Vaina Loca”-scored trailer is anything to go by, Frank Perozo‘s romantic comedy has all the makings of a breakout hit. There are romantic getaways on a helicopter, playboy exes on yachts, couple fights on the dance floor, and yes, even a kiss at the beach. Check out the full trailer below.

Que León opens in theaters in the DR in November, in Puerto Rico in December and on January 25, 2019 in the US.
