Ok. So picture something called Hot & Spicy International Iron Chef Competition. The contestants? Mexico vs. Canada. In the words of one of our Remezcla staff members…”esto va por Mexico señores!!”
Not only that, but chef Julio Mora, from our neighbors at Cantina Royale, along with chef Jonatan Gomezluna are set to compete this week as part of the Hot & Spicy Food festival in Toronto. All of the competitors (there’s also a USA vs. Antigua & Barbuda) will work against the clock to interpret a top secret ingredient.
The festival will also feature sizzling tunes from Chilean rapper/activist Ana Tijoux (oh we just saw her last week too.)
We’re positive our representing chefs will kick ass. That being said, MUCHA MIERDA, or theatre/español for “good luck Julio & Jonatan!”
