In the almost two years since Enrique Olvera’s Cosme opened, the Mexican eatery has had a months-long reservation wait, topped the New York Times‘ list of best NYC restaurants, and fed Oscar winners/nominees Jennifer Lawrence, Adele, and Emma Stone. And though Olvera – who is also the owner of Pujol, one of the best restaurants in the world – could easily rest on their laurels, he and his team are in the process of opening a new casual Mexican restaurant in NoHo.

According to Tasting Table, Olvera’s business partner Santiago Gomez said, “We have signed a lease on 372 Lafayette. We intend to open a restaurant by this year’s end. We are looking forward to further deepen our roots in New York and create a space where people can gather around, grab a delicious bite and enjoy a nice cold michelada. We are finalizing the concept now. Same team behind Cosme, different name.”

The new space will seat 65 people, and for now it will seemingly go by the name Atla. And the lines probably won’t be better than at Cosme, but at least dinner for two will be more affordable.
