Donald Trump isn’t going anywhere and the primaries can’t get here fast enough. He doesn’t seem to know much about politics or how to not put his foot in his mouth every single time he talks. However, Trump is very good at staying in the spotlight. In the last few days, he has revealed his immigration plan, insulted women, and continued to baffle us.

Here are five recent Trump happenings to SMH over:

1

He's doing the opposite of trying to win the Latino vote.

Unlike other candidates, who are trying their hand at Spanish or selling Guaca Bowles to try to connect with Latino voters, Trump is trying his best to insult and alienate them. His immigration reform plan calls for the end of birthright citizenship. “This remains the biggest magnet for illegal immigration,” the plan reads. “By a 2:1 margin, voters say it’s the wrong policy, including Harry Reid who said ‘no sane country’ would give automatic citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants.” For Trump, only those with money who can pay for housing, healthcare, and other needs should be allowed entry into the United States.

The document uses the word “illegal immigration” three times and “illegal immigrants” four times. Way to treat a group of people like they are less than human beings.

2

He's going to keep families together, but somewhere else.

On Sunday, Trump was on Meet the Press, where he said he would reverse Obama’s executive order on immigration. When Chuck Todd asked him if he was going to split up families and deport children, he said no. “No, we’re going to keep the families together,” he said, as NPR reports. “We have to keep the families together.” Todd then asked how he would accomplish these conflicting actions, and Trump just said that “they have to go.”

3

He's gotten Jorge Ramos worked up.

Jorge Ramos has been one of the most outspoken reporters against Trump, and Ramos has flooded his timeline with facts that will probably go ignored by the candidate.

4

The myth that Trump is leading in the GOP polls.

While most media outlets are busy reporting that Trump is the frontrunner for the GOP, no one is talking about the actual numbers. 59 percent of all Americans have an unfavorable view of Trump, as do 58 percent of those who are registered to vote. The methodology for the CNN poll is also not very clear. Those sampled were asked for their gender, race, age, and education, and CNN said the numbers were “weighted to reflect national Census figures.” CNN just doesn’t explain what those numbers were.

Either way, maybe Trump should look at the numbers before he brags.

5

He said Heidi Klum is no longer a 10.

In an interview with the New York Times, Trump talked about going too far with some of his statements. Then, he did just that. “Heidi Klum,” he said. “Sadly, she’s no longer a 10.” Uh, no one was asking. No one needs his approval, and how can he seriously continue to act as though a woman’s only value is her beauty?

Klum reacted to Trump’s sexist comments with a short video.
