Since we started our Instagram of the Week column, we’ve gone around the globe with brilliant artists, fashionistas, street photographers, and more, who have all used their phones to invite us into their world. These accounts have inspired us to step a little out of our comfort zone and mostly, awoken our inner wanderlust. And well, sometimes you just want to see some really pretty people and things besides your friends’ brunch photos. Here we round up the 10 instagram accounts you should have been following in 2014.

Alexis Diaz is a Puerto Rican-born street artist who has gained recognition for his murals, described as new age Animorphs,which fuse elephants and sea creatures to make vibrant new shapes and forms.

Mellany Sanchez is the creative director of KITH NYC and her style palette is clean, fresh, and athletic – but still feminine. She’s given a whole new meaning to tomboy looks by pairing sneakers with high-end brands, and takes loads of inspiration from vintage sportswear ads.

Ms. Nina is Jorgelina Andrea Torres, an artist from Argentina, who is cholo seapunk personified-just a few scrolls down her Instagram is like a kaleidoscopic acid trip through your Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper with appearances by many of our Latina faves, Frida Kahlo and Selena.

Luciana Urtiga is an up and coming Brazilian artist/photographer/designer who has recently gained attention for her eerie and multifaceted self portraits, created through in-camera effects and her portraits kind of look like what our hangovers feel like, much prettier, of course.

Augustin Gotlib is a Bueno Aires based photographer who likes to travel the roads less traveled in cities, and has specifically uncovered many gorgeous gems in the streets of Pasaje Lanin, where artist Marino Santa María has worked in transforming the area into a living art piece with brightly colored, mosaic-tiled homes.

We don’t know Domingo’s full name, but we do know that he is an industrial designer in Mexico and his super precise eye and style is a strong theme throughout his entire feed. He uses subdued palettes, filters and scenery to create minimal and striking photos.

For a very long time, cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki’s instagram was flying under the radar, but we were so happy to find this hidden gem. We already knew the man behind many breathtaking scenes in Alfonso Cuaron’s films was a genius, but it’s another thing to see how his talent shines through even through an iPhone lens.

Fabs Grassi is a São Paulo based fashion designer who began as a street photographer, and has now evolved into a beautiful portrait maker. His use of light and shadows have created stunning images of women that make it seem like we’re being let in on a little secret, who doesn’t like that?
