While there’s never a bad time for elote – the corn on the cob snack smothered in cheese, mayonnaise, butter, and/or cheese – Kendrick Lamar took it to a new level in his video. In the Dave Free-directed video for “King’s Dead” – a Jay Rock, K.Dot, Future, and James Blake song off the Black Panther soundtrack – the opening shot reveals Kendrick sitting in a palm tree eating an elote.
And though people had plenty to say about the video as a whole, it’s that first scene that has given people their 2018 goals: Be as chill as Kendrick consuming an elote in a palm tree. Check out a few reactions below:
