This Lima Museum’s Celebrity Wax Figures Are So Atrociously Bad You Won’t Be Able to Look Away

Since at least the Middle Ages, we have immortalized cultural figures with wax figures made in their likeness. And though some museums (Madame Tussaud’s, for example) have mastered (or nearly mastered) the art of the wax figure, there are many that have not. The Museo de Cera de Madrid is notorious for its bad wax creations, but even this museum may not be able to hold a candle to what’s purportedly the Museo de Cera de Lima. Recently, the museum unveiled its Lady Gaga statue, a completely unrecognizable figure that went viral and was so off that it angered her Little Monsters.

And though the Gaga figure will go down in history as one of the worst wax figures, the museum, which some have called the world’s worst, has some truly spectacular gems. Check out a few figures below:
