Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s known to give back to his fans – from granting wishes through Make-A-Wish to posing with followers on the street. This time, the actor went further to fulfill a woman’s dream, even after her death.

On August 23, Aileen Pizarro and her daughter, Aryana, died in a car crash in San Diego, California. 18-year-old YouTuber Trevor “McSkillet” Heitmann caused the tragic accident when driving the wrong way on the 805 when he collided with Pizarro’s car. McSkillet also died on the scene.

Pizarro’s son,  Dominic Arman Pizarro, started a GoFundMe campaign the day after the fatal accident to cover unexpected expenses for his mom and sister’s funeral. “During this time, me, my grandfather, and brother are trying to come to grasp with our new reality and push forward with our lives,” he wrote on GoFundMe. The campaign has so far exceed the initial $5,000 goal, with people chipping in more than $53,000.

The campaign’s success is in part a result of Aileen’s other son, Angelo, who used Twitter to ask The Rock to send his mom, who was a big fan of the actor, a video message to play during the funeral. Quickly, the message spread throughout social media, and The Rock sent Angelo a direct message through the social media app. “If your mom can see me now, which I’m sure she can, I want to thank her for all the love and being such a big fan,” The Rock said.

Aileen Pizarro, who was a marriage and family therapist in San Diego, leaves behind 22-year-old Dominic and 19-year-old Angelo. Her youngest daughter Aryana, who Dominic described as the “best little sister a brother could ask for,” was set to start seventh grade this week.

Fans all over Twitter began sharing the sweet video and showing support for Angelo and Dominic during this difficult time.
