In between Bernie Sanders’ sobbing supporters being turned into memes and the upcoming great fart-in of 2016, there’s been some pretty LOL/WTF stuff happening at the otherwise very serious Democratic National Convention. Without a doubt, one of the most LMAO moments came when a Bernie Bro brought an alpaca to the DNC protests. Quickly, the camelid became the biggest Latino star to visit Philadelphia this week. (Sorry Eva Longoria.)
Just like many of us, alpacas originally came from South America, but this one – like 150,000 others – is a US citizen. Originally, police thought a wild llama roamed the streets of Center City, but the department has since recognized that it’s, in fact, the more miniature alpaca.
While we may not all see eye-to-eye politically, I think we can all agree that this is a DNC highlight. Check out Shay, the alpaca, in action below:
