Warning: This post contains no spoilers from season 7 of Game of Thrones, but proceed with caution if you have not finished season 6.
From the last moments of Game of Thrones season six – which saw Daenerys Targaryen making her way toward Westeros as her dragons flew above her – we knew that we were in for an epic season seven. GOT‘s penultimate season has been troubled with leaks. According to Market Watch, a group of hackers – who claim they have the scripts – threatened to release the scripts unless the company paid them $6 million. But on Tuesday, HBO Spain inadvertently contributed to the leaking by posting episode six a week early, the Associated Press reports.
HBO Europe stated that it had “learned that the upcoming episode of Game of Thrones was accidentally posted for a brief time on the HBO Nordic and HBO España platforms. The error appears to have originated with a third-party vendor, and the episode was removed as soon as it was recognized.”
Though some have uploaded the episode online, not all versions are easy to watch. Some have noted that people in Spain just used their phones to record their screens, which doesn’t make for an enjoyable viewing experience. But mostly people don’t know how to feel. Some have debated whether to watch the dubbed Spanish version; others believe this is HBO’s sneaky way to get ahead of its hackers. However, for those who know they’re waiting until Sunday, Twitter is currently a very dangerous place. In case you’ve wondered what GOT is like in Spanish, then you can check it out because it’s out there. If not, check out the funniest reactions below, and don’t worry they’re spoiler-free:
