To many viewers’ surprise, Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! was dominated by Latino guest stars (a feat they managed to pull off without any cringeworthy stereotypes). Cardi B, J Balvin, Zion y Lennox, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez all made appearances on the late night show on October 17, which was a part of a special episode filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House, instead of Kimmel’s regular Los Angeles location.

Kimmel chatted with Ocasio-Cortez about her views on healthcare and asked Cardi B about her newborn daughter Kulture. The episode also included a performance of J Balvin’s “No Es Justo” featuring special guests Zion y Lennox. Here are some of our favorite moments from the episode.

1

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Loves Cracker Barrel Because It’s “Exotic”

Back in June, Ocasio-Cortez famously defeated incumbent Congressman Joe Crowley in the primary for New York’s 14th district. Since then, she has spent much of her time meeting with constituents and supporters across the country. The Bronx-born candidate told a story about an encounter with a follower at a Cracker Barrel, which her family loves since it’s “exotic.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Let Out a "Yerrr" in Case You Forgot She's From the Bronx

Kimmel asked Ocasio-Cortez about her parents’ upbringing, and the congressional hopeful shared that her father was born in the Bronx. In case you forgot she’s from the BX, she let out a lil “YERRR” as a reminder. ??‍♀️

Cardi B Said Giving Birth “Broke Her Vagina”

Belcalis Almanzar gave birth to her first daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus just three months ago. In her chat with Kimmel, she was pretty frank about the painful experience. “It was totally hard, it broke my vagina,” she told Jimmy. “Nobody told me they were going to stitch my vagina… People just be like, ‘oh, you know, when you give birth, it’s gonna hurt’ but nobody tells you.”

Cardi Says She Would Run for Mayor on an Anti-Rat and -Raccoon Campaign

As a lifelong New Yorker, Cardi is well aware of the city’s rodent problem. She says she’d make this issue a priority if she ever ran for mayor.  “There’s so many things I’d want to do, like rats, raccoons – I want to get rid of them,” she told Jimmy. “There’s something about the rats – they’re scared of you. But the raccoons, they’re not scared of you.”

J Balvin Performed "No Es Justo" and Lennox Flossed and Did the Shoot Dance

Closing out the episode was a performance from J Balvin and reggaeton legends Zion y Lennox. The trio performed “No Es Justo,” a cut from the Colombian pop star’s wildly successful new album Vibras. Lennox stole the show with his attempt at flossing and doing the shoot dance. King.
