Brray x Álvaro Díaz – "Pause Brray Pa'L Joseo"
I have A LOT of friends who diss trap. And I understand, mostly because I have even more enemies who put it out there on the webz as if it was fucking quesadillas. Don’t get me wrong, but I’ve smoked the best kush and taken the best synthesized chemicals–a la Walter Bishop [from ‘Fringe’]–to understand this war. Truth is, Old School will always be Old School and New School is…well, new. And most times, not even that new at all, but that’s part of evolving, I guess. Young Martino is one of my favorite producers from Puerto Rico, and this has got to be his trappiest production so far. The result is impressing, especially when it comes to the O.T. Genasis “Coco” allusions. –Eric Gamboa
Siete Catorce – "Hilo"

Known to many as the “Mexican Burial,” Siete Catorce passes through many ideas quickly, posting tracks continuously without the need of official releases or anything of the sort. “Hilo” is another one of those sporadic ideas that are hard to pin down; there’s a dark and tetric techno mood but the rhythm is unlike anything I’ve heard in a while– a mix between trap, dembow, techno, and footwork=type patterns that become more intriguing as the song develops. –Adrián Méndez
Lafawndah – "Butter (Yelram Selectah Remix)"

One of Tijuana’s resident weirdos (said with all the love) Yelram Selectah gives us a remix of Lafawndah’s “Butter” that skillfully exploits the cold-warm balance of the original crawling riddim. The track, recorded on the island of Guadeloupe with co-producer Garagembanda, finds a new life in the pitched up/pitched down vocals layered over a minimalist, driving cumbia rhythm. Kryone – "Assim"
The fact that you can download this song for like thousands of dollars off of Bandcamp pretty much gives you an idea of the humor this dude from Morelia, Mexico has. Actually he is a hilarious internet type of person. So funny and rude on his social networks, that you’d expect to hear some mean shit from this guy, right away. But no. He crafts beautiful songs that usually tend to include baile funk samples or hip-hop structures mixed with pitched vocals and heart-warming synths that take you that safe place in your mind. –Eric Gamboa
Narcoiris – "Problemas"
Stupid Techno and Weirdo House label Exxxtra Picante starts off its 2015 releases with this single by Narcoiris who was mentioned in this same section a couple of months back. This shady Mexican producer comes to us once more with “Problemas,” a vintagy twist to his left-field tech house approach topped off with some barely inteligible Spanish dialogue about some guy suffering because of his Problemas. –Adrián Méndez
Elebleu – "Green Skills"
Sorry, but I was too busy making my own beats this last week. So here’s a little something I made under the influence of sweet, sweet microbrewed love. Funny thing is I made this for a rapper who asked for it, and now I’m not so sure I want to give it away. But that’s just how this game rolls. Most of the time, those tracks you love the most, are primarily the ones that wont be called after your name. I guess that’s what happens when you try to follow DJ Mustard’s steps. –Eric Gamboa
Valesuchi – "Dumplings"
“Dumplings” shows Valesuchi–who we featured on our Female Beatmakers to Watch list–reporting back from her time at the Tokyo edition of the Red Bull Music Academy. Part of the Various Assets – Not for Sale compilation from artists that attended the sessions, the slow-building, piano-grounded nu-disco track is a glossy number, co-produced with Newmarket artist Mark Maxwell. –Sara Skolnick

Monterrey, Mexico has been producing a lot of amazing post bass producers in the last 5 years, and among the newer ones is Finesse Records’ very own 10010, who has followed the path of label boss Teen Flirt towards the creation of great and “love-making” motivated music.
