Our jaws are still touching the floor after the announcement of this year’s Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn. Its star-studded lineup celebrates black artists and culture from all around the globe, and includes Ice Cube, Flying Lotus, TV On The Radio, Tyler, The Creator, Janelle Monae, living legend George Clinton and many more. Phew! There will also be a special jam featuring members of Living Color, Bad Brains, and Fishbone. Our bodies are ready.

The Latinx front is also well-represented, thanks to cholo goths Prayers, politically-charged punk outfit Downtown Boys, Soulection affiliates Sango and The Whooligan, and our Filiprimo Esta, among others. With Afro-Latino Festival and Afropunk happening in July and August respectively, black culture will definitely be in the spotlight this summer. Check out the full lineup below:

Afropunk Festival hits Brooklyn on August 27 and 28, 2016. Purchase tickets here.
