Eighteen-year-old Dominican- and Mexican-American singer-songwriter Ambar Lucid is announcing her debut EP Dreaming Lucid, a collection of eight songs including “Eyes,” and a remastered version of “A Letter To My Younger Self,” both of which have already turned Ambar into one of the most promising young voices in the Latinx indie universe. Along with the EP, Lucid has also announced a new tour, including dates with Omar Apollo, as well as an appearance at Mexico’s Festival Ceremonia.

Dreaming Lucid will feature the singer-songwriter’s signature dream pop, with her commanding yet sweet vocals taking center stage. The EP will surely attract attention, thanks to the buzz generated from her previously released singles.

To present the new EP, she has released a visual explaining the creative journey that led to Dreaming Lucid. The visual was directed by Omar Apollo and BROCKHAMPTON collaborator Aidan Cullen, and features Super 8 footage of Ambar playing and recording various instruments, as well as narration by Lucid herself about her aspirations with her music.

In her short time in the scene, Lucid has made a name for herself through her heartfelt singing and lyrics, which often deal head-on with her feelings of hardship and depression. Her next moves will not only open her to a new audience, but will probably influence the next chapter of her music.

Below, you will find her upcoming tour dates. Dreaming Lucid is due out March 1.
