“There’s nothing more beautiful than a pregnant lady,” rapped Ana Tijoux (back then still Anita) in Makiza‘s “Tu Luz + Su Luz” (included in the group’s 1999 big label debut, Aerolíneas Makiza). The lyrics talked about her own mother and motherhood in general, but this time around, the mother is herself.
The French-Chilean femcee will be six months into her pregnancy when she walks down the red carpet at the Latin Grammy‘s ceremony next week (déjà vu: remember M.I.A. back in 2009?), and she’ll sure look beautiful.
So you’re not invited to the awards party? Don’t worry. There are plenty of chances to catch her onstage if you’re in California (dates below).
