Austin City Limits Music Festival has been ripping it up for a decade, bringing together over 130 acts from all over the world to rock the hell out of eight stages of indie, folk, electro, and alternative music bliss for three consecutive days (Sept. 16-18). This year, the ACL fest brings six of some of our Latin favorite artists who we love to blog about. So we decided to curate to you a nice lil playlist with some of this year’s Latin featured artists and their latest ditties, so you can stream for free! You’ll also find dates, time and location of when they’ll be performing at the fest. For y’all who are there, rock your brains out and send us some souvenirs or some’n!

“Forget” is Dominican-birthed, Brooklyn-based new wave singer Twin Shadow (née George Lewis Jr.) off his 2011 album Forget. Fun irrelevant fact: This guy’s often called a Mexican Morrissey (though he ain’t Mexican).

The LA-based (not Bronx-based) mariacheros The Bronx now go by the alter ego Mariachi El Bronx. They recently released their second studio album under the self-tilted Mariachi El Bronx (II) which includes this featured track “Matador” below.

Argentinean-birthed, Berlin transplant Federico Aubele drops his senior studio album Berlin 13 on ESL Music (that’s Thievery Corporation’s label) early this year. Here you can stream the trippy low-tempo track “No One” off that record.

The multilingual French singer-songwriter Manu Chao (of Spanish roots) drops Radiolinea back in 2007 where “El Kitapena” (The shame takeaway-er, more or less) also appears, and personally, this song kicks ass! Fact is I’ll never get enough Chao. He’s currently gigging electrifying shows during his La Ventura tour.

Blending traditional cumbia and champeta sounds with rock, electro and hip hop, Colombia’s duo Bomba Estéreo creates a gnarly version of “Fuego” off their 2011 latest EP Ponte Bomb. There are actually tons of awesome remixes of this track, but this beat seemed to stick more in my head.

The multi-instrumental Chilean pop sensation Francisca Valenzuela has created lots of buzz with her latest sophomore release Buen Soldado.  And we really like this track: “Quiero Verte Más.” The lady has has some serious skills pounding those keys!
