Perhaps my favorite track from Café Tacvba‘s El Objeto Antes Llamado Disco, the effervescent Mexican quartet gives us a teaser to kick off 2013 for an upcoming music video, “Olita del altamar.” Evidently an oppositional take from their previous, melancholic/heartfelt video, “De Este Lado Del Camino,” this clip shows a candid, buoyant, and lighthearted Cafeta with an indigenously dressed ensemble backing them up with zampoñas and tambores. Rubén Albarrán, also in folkloric garb, leaps around an astonishing deserted shore wearing a transformed el gallo-esque half-ski mask. Check it out, the video looks like it’s gonna be über-cool!
