Cardi B may have broken the internet this week with a series of now-deleted videos about her beef with Nicki Minaj, but somehow, she’s still found time to promote new music. The Bronx-born rapper has long used her Instagram as a platform to expose Spanish-language artists to her non-Latino fans, and her latest effort is an upcoming collaboration with Dominican dembow artist El Alfa. Cardi has long been a dembow superfan; in August, she took to Twitter to profess her love for the genre. “Dembow is really underrated,” she wrote. “It needs to be more global, more mainstream! It just makes you wanna dance automatically!”

As we previously reported, the collab could be a dembow or trap song, as El Alfa suggested when he originally teased the song earlier this month. In early September, El Alfa posted a momentous screenshot of an Instagram DM conversation with Cardi about the joint track. “If we do something, the Dominican Republic will make you president,” he said. “I’m excited!” she answered.

Now El Alfa and Cardi have shared the release date and title of the link-up. It’s called “Mi Mami” and is slated to see the light on Friday, November 2. On Instagram, El Alfa referred to it as ” el fusión más grande de los tiempos.

Stay tuned for more info on the collab soon.
