As she prepares to drop her first full-length album this week, Cardi B fever is in full force. The Bardi Gang has been patiently waiting for the follow-up to “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi,” and we’re only a few days away from its unveiling.
We’ve seen elaborate Selena-themed birthday parties, so it was only a matter of time until Cardi B reached birthday party status. Over the weekend, Belicalis Almanzar was thrilled to find that she was the theme for 4-year-old Bella’s celebration, which drew inspiration from the vibrant, In Living Color-inspired video for Bruno Mars’ “Finesse (Remix).” The bash featured colorful, graffiti-inspired signs, Bruno Mars and Cardi cutouts, and cupcakes with some of the Bronx rapper’s iconic looks.
On Instagram, Bella’s aunt explained that her niece is a Cardi superfan, and called for her followers to tag the Bronx rapper in the hopes that she’d repost the pics. “My niece is absolutely obsessed with @iamcardib and begged for a Cardi B birthday party for her 4th bday so we made her wish come true,” she wrote.
Lo and behold, a day later, Cardi shared the photos on her own Instagram page. “I can’t believe this little cutie wanted a Cardi B birthday party ❤️❤️❤️???. Omggg my heart is melting. I wanna meet you ❤️HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” We’ve reached out to Bella’s aunt to learn more about the party and will update once we hear back. Can we all agree this puts our own 4th birthday parties to shame?
