Cardi B and Offset are hip-hop’s first couple, and as the Dominican-Trinidadian rapper continues to break barriers and set chart records, you can expect her celebrity to reach new levels. On Monday afternoon, Cardi took to Twitter to address just how much she likes to keep certain things to herself as her fame grows – and the namesake of her album Invasion of Privacy.

The Bronx rapper revealed that she and Offset were already married at the time of their public engagement in October, when the Migos rapper proposed to her during Philadelphia’s Power 99 Powerhouse concert. Earlier on Monday, TMZ reported that the couple hired someone to officiate the ceremony the same day Offset proposed, with Cardi’s cousin being the only other person to witness the nuptials. Cardi confirmed the report on Twitter, noting that she has been married to Offset since September. “Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn’t want to lose each other,” she wrote. With regards to the famous engagement that took place in October, Cardi said, “I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting for me have that special moment that every girl dreams of when he got down on his knee and put a ring on my finger.”

True to form, Cardi ended her post with a quip for her critics. “Well now since you lil nosey fucks know at least ya can stop saying I had a baby out of wedlock.” Tell ’em, Belcalis.
