We’re a little over a week into 2017 and the festival announcements keep flooding our timelines. From Coachella to Panorama, the lineups this year are getting juicier and juicier, and our bank accounts are definitely feeling it. On the Mexican front, the 30 artists set to take over one of the country’s most beloved live celebrations, Carnaval de Bahidorá, have just been announced. For its fifth edition, the festival is returning to the magical natural landscapes of Las Estacas, Morelos, on February 18 and 19, with a string of artists from across the globe.

Joining previously announced artists (like sharp-tongued bruja Princess Nokia and honey-sweet R&B singer Kali Uchis), are Chilean trio Matanza and their Andes-influenced techno, Florentino and Plantt representing Manchester collective Swing Ting, and Brazil’s A Macaca, member of the Voodoohop crew. Colombia is well-represented with Systema Solar and Frente Cumbiero, the brainchild of Mario Galeano from Los Pirañas and Ondatrópica. Local producers like Trillones from Mexicali and Wet Baes from Mexico City will make their beats resonate in the verdant surroundings.

Mad Professor, Mala, RJD2, Jessy Lanza and more complete the lineup. Check it out below:

In addition to its commitment to environmental sustainability, Bahidorá also includes activities beyond the world of music. Food, arts, camping, and even snorkeling are all on the schedule, so stay tuned for more information soon.
