Bogotá’s resident three-day long outdoor party excursion Estéreo Picnic has announced their lineup for the weekend of March 12 – 14, 2015.
Estéreo Picnic had differentiated itself over the years as using the platform to promote Colombian artists, however this year it seems that emphasis has gone by the wayside, placing Kings of Leon, Calvin Harris, Jack White, Skrillex, and Foster the People in the headlining slots.
The lineup also signals a disconcerting trend–or rather, a maintenance of the status quo–with women plainly excluded from the spotlight. Nestled into the third row of artists you’ll find Bogotá’s hometown heroes los Aterciopelados, with the duo of Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago, but female solo acts Mala Rodríguez and Elsa y Elmar don’t appear until a few more rows of tiny print.
