Mexico City crew The Guadaloops have just released their video for “Ven,” produced by Daniel M. Torres of Infinito Corazón, as the first single off their forthcoming album De Locos y Monstruos.
The Guadaloops, comprised of emcee Franco Genel, aka Tino el Pingüino, with Fermín Héctor Sánchez and Ferdinand González, demonstrate their double-time rapping skills and affinity for filtered hornlines in this hip hop/r&b track with some rock sensibilities. The Guadaloops prove yet again, after solid releases like “Lumina” and “Bella Tarde,” that 2014 is shaping up to be an important year for moving Mexican hip hop needle.
