Relatively fresh off a prison sentence for tax evasion, Bronx-born rapper Fat Joe is back packing out arenas, this time as a rep for Market America’s thinly-veiled pyramid scheme. Just off a similar brand appearance in NYC, an August video resurfaced showing the recently-knighted the “President of Urban & Latino Development” calling on hazy evidence like “I’m like the Kool Aid man– I break straight through the wall” and “Market America is in my DNA” to recruit investors for “The Unfranchise Business Plan.”
Audience members were treated to over 30 minutes of a rambling Fat Joe, as he shouted out Australia, Canada, USA, his Flushing crew, and Taiwan, reminded listeners that “money is the universal language,” and danced on stage with Angie Martinez to plug his new single.
