This song has been around for a while now, but it still keeps coming back in new incarnations, this time thanks to the intercession of Frikstailers.
As they explain on their own blog, Cassette, the song was originally conceived as a featured guest appearance of Fauna on Chancha Via Circuito‘s album, Río Arriba, and it was called “La Revancha de Chancha.” For its second coming, the vocals of that track found a new home on a Fauna-produced riddim and it became “Para mí,” the first single of Fauna’s second album, Manshines. The psychedelic video for “Para mí” was actually selected as one of the best of 2011 by Remezcla‘s staff and it features cameos of most members of the ZZK crew, except Frikstailers. So, it was just a matter of time until the Frikstailers guys got ahold of those vocals and released their own version.
This “Para mí” remix has been playing for a while on the ZZK tours but now it becomes available for free download, and here you have it, para tí, or more accurately, para vos.
