In 2011 we formally met Barcelona’s Odio París after they released a true standout of a debut. That self-titled LP still spins regularly in my head, tugging at every nostalgic bone in my body. We don’t have a new album from them (yet!) but we do have a downloadable remix of one of the best tracks off that album, “San Antonio.” The remixing is in the hands of Alppine, a little-known trio comprised of Diego Delgado, Alberto Bermejo, and Marta Capdevila. Together they turn “San Antonio” into a less-sprawling, more-explosive track that’s just as compelling as the original. A good start to 2014.
