oh dear!, an independent culture zine from Guadalajara, has put together this excellent (and free) mixtape in honor of their fifth issue. The artist/tracklist is exciting enough at first look. Opening with a cover of Youth Lagoon by Remezcla favorite Algodón Egipcio, the comp continues on the cover train with Capullo’s take on Rocío Durcal and Juan Gabriel’s “Déjame Vivir” and Celesta en la Cesta’s Brian Eno cover, “By this river.” We also get some original tracks, like Matilda Manzana’s very wonderful “En Otras Dimensiones” and Cien Ciénegas’ “Dientes.”
