Heineken wants to be on your short list of kick-ass summer music shows. This weekend, Heineken USA launched the MezclaSonic summer concert series, a Latino mash-up of a scene with Remezcla-friendly city stops. The beer brings together our friends from NYC, Nacotheque and D’marquesina, and Camilo Lara of the Mexican Institute of Sound (M.I.S.). The bill looks to round-up what they call, “a real life example” of the company’s Demuestra Quien Eres platform, a campaign targeted at American Latino beer drinkers. Miami, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles will be hit with two day events featuring art, live music, and activities for those over the age of 21.

The launch was paired with the 8th Annual Heineken Transatlantic Music Fest in Miami. The fest opened with Brazil’s latest musical export,  La Orquestra Contemporânea de Olinda and closed with a super sexy set from Colombia’s Bomba Estero. The variety of MezclaSonic DJ’s gave us a sample of what’s to come from this team of spinsters who enjoy the great outdoors, a good Latino throwback, and beer.

Simon from Bomba Estero chatted with us about Bomba’s debut in the States and what’s to come from Colombia’s new cool kids.

Hector from D’marquesina tells us about the mixes he brings to the tour accompanied by a horn, check it out.
