There will be a chance to celebrate the holiday season with José Feliciano. Today (Aug. 15), the “Feliz Navidad” hit-maker announced the date for a concert in December.

Feliciano became a worldwide phenomenon thanks to the song “Feliz Navidad,” which he wrote and recorded in 1970. Like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You,” his song experiences a resurgence in popularity every December. Back in 2020, “Feliz Navidad” peaked at No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s unquestionably the biggest Latine song to exist in the Christmas pop canon. Fans of the Puerto Rican icon and “Feliz Navidad” will have one opportunity to see him live in December.

Feliciano announced the date for the only concert scheduled this year. Just in time for Christmas, he will put on a concert at the City National Grove of Anaheim on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The 78-year-old singer is expected to bring out his guitar and croon his hits like “Feliz Navidad” at the show in Anaheim, CA.

Pre-sale tickets for Feliciano’s concert in Anaheim are now available on Ticketmaster.com. Tickets to the general public will be released on Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. PST. There’s no word yet if Feliciano will add more concerts to his December schedule. So far, the only chance to see him live during the Christmas season will be at the City National Grove of Anaheim.

In 2020, Feliciano celebrated the 50th anniversary of “Feliz Navidad” with the release of a children’s book. That year, Remezcla compiled a list of great covers of the Christmas classic by Thalia, Fuerza Regida, Gwen Stefani and Mon Laferte, Kacey Musgraves, and Céline Dion. Back in 1968, Feliciano reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with a covers album that included his versions of “Light My Fire” by the Doors and “California Dreamin’” by the Mamas & the Papas.
