If you’re starting to feel overwhelmed by the fire summer concert schedule that’s about to kick off, wait until we drop some extra flames on you. Following the announcement of LAMC’s stellar Summer Stage lineups back in April, we now have the official list of artists performing at the festival’s always buzzed-about indie showcase, taking place on July 13 this year. The indie showcase is one of LAMC’s most consequential shows, often featuring breakout names, with notable examples such as La Santa Cecilia, Buscabulla, Alex Anwandter, and Xenia Rubinos all delivering star-making performances in previous editions. The show has proven to be such a success that last year organizers had to upgrade venue capacity by switching to the Highline Ballroom, where they will be hosting the show again this year.

Hip-hop and R&B will be represented by Boricua singer Audri Nix and Peruvian-born bad boy A.CHAL, both of whom have stolen the show at Remezcla’s own official showcases down at SXSW. Guatemala’s Jesse Baez will also bring his falsetto and smoky-green pop covers to the LAMC stage for the first time. But don’t worry; it won’t all be dabbing and head bouncing. If you’re looking for indie rock or smooth synths, Argentina’s Indios and Juan Ingaramo will have you covered respectively. And if you have an itch for a satisfying pop singalong, Chilean indie superstar Javiera Mena is returning to NYC for the first time in five years to tear the roof off the Highline Ballroom.

The Latin Alternative Music Conference runs from July 11 – 15, and you can catch the festival’s indie showcase on Thursday, July 13. Doors open at 8 p.m.
