Messiah Confirms 50 Cent Collaboration on Beats 1

When we sat down with Messiah on a brisk February morning earlier this year, he spoke to us about collaborations with hip-hop heavyweights like Jay-Z and 50 Cent as though they were far off-dreams. But over the course of 2016, he’s toured sold-out shows across Europe and released his debut album, so it’s no surprise that the next step of his career is making those once lofty dreams a reality.

The first step? An upcoming remix with 50 Cent, a collaboration that’s been making its way through the rumor mill. Last night, as part of Beats 1’s Latino initiative, Messiah told Ebro that he’d be dropping a remix of Made in Europe cut “Joder Tio” with the G-Unit head honcho soon. He also dished about his love for reggae and dancehall, and his Vybz Kartel collab “Right Now.” Listen to the full interview below.

Update 10/10/2016, 1:33 p.m.: A previous version of this article incorrectly identified the song that Messiah and 50 Cent would be collaborating on. The song is “Joder Tio,” not “Sueño Mojado.”
