Mexico City’s jazz/pop outfit Mink kicks off the new year with the release of their third single, “Espérame,” off their debut album, Camino. A nostalgic vibe is very present in this track/video as singer Carol Villagrán, guitarist Alex Sanchez, and bassist Adrian Paz provide a slower, more melancholic tune compared to their previous buoyant single, “Déjame Salir.” The video was shot at a few abandoned buildings in Mexico City in black-and-white and the nods to nostalgia are plenty: the family video on reel-to-reel tape, the sand timer, and so on. There are also a few neat camera effects throughout. Watch below:
